The Mace Montessori Nursery is 2 minutes walk from Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly Line and 5 minutes walk from Chancery Lane tube station on the Central Line. It is close to all major Hospitals in the area. The Mace Montessori Nursery takes children from 2 years to 5 years of age. The maximum number of children we admit at any one time is 20 which helps to create a cosy supportive environment. At Mace we provide a warm, stimulating and creative environment. Our nursery is hidden and tucked away fom busy lives. Special attention has been given to the school environment and some parents have described our nursery as a 'peaceful cocoon of tranquility' in a busy city. Meals are prepared fresh daily on the premises by the Mace chef providing well balanced nutrition. We also cater for special diets.We know that happy children who are comfortable with their surroundings learn well. At Mace Montessori, we aim to provide first class care for your child in a caring, loving environment where each child is treated as an individual. We provide Montessori method of teaching as well as adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS is a structure of learning, development and care for children from birth to 5 years old set out by the government. (Click here to read more - add this later) Our professionally qualified team work together to ensure that from the early developmental years through to preparation for beginning school, each child is encouraged to realise their full potential through a carefully developed programme that builds confidence and creates opportunities for both educational and social development. We provide children with a balanced indoor and outdoor curriculum and provide a balance of activities. We offer extra curricular activities such as dance and drama and French lessons which are generally very popular with children. At the end of the term children who participate in the dance and drama classes perform in front of a small audience. We recognise the importance of the parents of our children as their prime carers and educators and aim always to work in partnership with you.
